I use VIVA internet router at home. Every now and then I perform an internet speed test and it barely reached 1Mbps, mostly less.

Today I surprisingly got 5.47Mbps! I tried the test several times in 1 hour and it consistently gave results ranging between 4.5 – 5.5Mbps.

CHANEL Boutique at Salhiya have received today accessories from the gorgeous Ice Cube collection, Fall-Winter 2010-2011. The necklaces are just breathtaking and of very limited quantities, some came only one each. I managed to take this close up of one long necklace.

The easiest, most cost effective way to give your bedroom a new notable change is to buy a new lovely bed cover. I’ve noticed lately that Safat Alghanim home section are offering a very beautiful collection of beddings. Fresh modern prints with various colors, made with very soft cotton fabrics. Feels nice to the skin.

My taste has always involved modern furniture pieces, strong colors, and bold prints. I remember going through a hard time furnishing my apartment 5 years ago. Back then, the only place that offered black wood furniture was The One. Things have become much easier now for my taste.

I bought this lovely bedding for my bedroom (pictured above). The prices offered are very reasonable as well. My set cost around KD 25.

I’ve been looking for a solution to organize the clutter in my bathroom. I have a rather small bathroom, therefore I needed something that occupies the least space (depth), and offers the most storage space possible.

Just like any married couple, you can imagine the things that we store in the bathroom:

• Tooth brushes
• Tooth Paste
• Dental floss
• Make up wipes
• Facial cleansing gel
• Creams
• Liquid make up remover
• Razors
• Shaving cream
• 3 different types of shaving machines (Yes, hubby has that many!)
• After Shave
• Tissue box
• Shampoos & Conditioners
• Body wash
• Loafas
• Eye drops

I used to have most of this stuffed in a small tiny cabinet. And I tend to forget that I own some of the things I have because they are hidden out of sight. My husband used to keep the shaving machines on top of the clothes hamper (which was the reason that kicked off the whole organizing effort). Something needed to be done ASAP.

So I started looking for a solution that meets the following criteria:

• Budget Friendly (KD20 or less)
• Occupies a small space.
• Allows for maximum storage.
• Metal or plastic (wood tends to get worn out with humidity).
• Durable
• White
• See through. I want to see and utilize everything I own to avoid purchase of unnecessary products.

So I headed to IKEA with the criteria in mind.

After a long search, this is what I bought:

LERBERG Shelf Unit (KD9): This shelf unit is made of metal and has a depth of only 35cm. I found it in the books cabinets and TV tables section. It was the perfect obvious choice.

GODMORGON Box with Lid, Set of 5 (KD 7): This box set is perfect to store small things separated and away from the dust. You can use them to store dental floss, shaving blades, and cotton buds.

SAMLA Box (KD 1.250) with Lid (KD 0.500): I got two of those. One of them was used for the shaving machines. They are so practical,  transparent, compact, and of light weight.

I kept some some products that we use very frequently directly on the shelves, like hand wash soap, tooth brushes, tissue box, etc. Other products were stored neatly in the see through boxes. The result was a very neat, clutter free, organization solution for under KD20.

I just love M.A.C. Cosmetics Recycling Program. By returning 6 containers of any M.A.C. products, you get a free lipstick of your choice.

Today I returned my 6 empty containers and got Taupe color lipstick (shown above)

I wonder why other leading makeup brands don’t implement such programs. It sure helps in raising public awareness towards saving the environment, plus the ladies will choose to buy their products over the others.

Recommended by my friend. I ordered from them today. Love the packaging and they taste so good. Much better that any mini cheese cakes I tried from other places in Kuwait. The cheese is so soft and tastes so yum.

There are two types of orders:

• 25 Small Cups: KD 5
• 12 Big Cups: KD 8

They come in 7 flavors and they all taste yum . My favorites were caramel and strawberry.

What I love is that you can have different flavors in your order, you are not limited to one only. I ordered the small ones as they were not many of us to eat plus I wanted to taste all the flavors. They came with small plastic spoons. But I recommend ordering the big cups. I would have enjoyed the taste more with a bigger portion. My friend also mentioned that the big cups come with fresh fruit toppings. She had yummy fresh strawberries with hers.

Highly recommended. Two thumbs up.

Today I paid my first visit to ALOTHMAN outlet in a last attempt to find the perfect bronze shoes to match my Eid outfit. Not only did I find the perfect pair, they were Christian Louboutins, and dangerously discounted!

I ended up walking out the outlet with two shopping bags.

The colour of this lovely Loubies was excatly what I was looking for. They are a mixture of patent leather and velvet. And with a price tag of KD95 how could I resist! The pair were originally priced at KD315.

I also got this gorgeous pair of Pierre Hardy everning shoes. They really flatter the feet and make them look fabulous. Discounted price tag was KD135. Originally priced at KD449

I’m extremely impressed with the collection and the prices available in the outlet. I think this is the closest you can get to a great bargain in Kuwait. It’s totally worth a visit.
